BTS tops iTunes charts in 91 countries…an all-time high

With the release of the new album, the group BTS has dominated iTunes charts around the world.

BTS’ fourth full-length album “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7” was released on Monday (as of 10 a.m.) and topped the iTunes “Top Albums” chart in 91 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Italy, Russia, India, Singapore, Japan, Brazil, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and India. This is BTS’ all-time record.

In addition, the title track “ON” also topped 83 countries and regional iTunes “Top Songs” worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Italy, Russia, Japan and Egypt.

Especially, not only the top album of the U.S. and the U.K., but also the top song charts, tracks such as “On,” “Louder Than Bombs,” “We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal,” “Friend,” and “Pet Lag” all lined up from first to 10th.

In addition, ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ topped both the daily and weekly charts with 330,000 digital albums sold in just six hours of release at Wang Yi Music, China.

BTS previously topped all five major music sites in Korea — Melon, FLO, Genie, Bugs and Soribada — with its title track “ON” right after the album’s release. In addition, the rankings were: Filter, Time difference, 100:00 (Zero O’Clock), Friend, UGH!, Louder than Bombs, Interlude: Shadow, Moon, We Are Bulletproof: the External, and Black, etc. from 14 to 14 and more.

Meanwhile, BTS will perform “On” on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” for the first time in the world.
